Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

About the project:

Our client is an AI startup company, focused on the autonomization of document extraction through machine learning. Based in Switzerland, employs around 30 people in the field of machine learning engineering and development. Client's platform provides large enterprises and software vendors with versatile intelligent document understanding technology with maximum flexibility. This product makes document extraction a much-needed convenience.

Responsibilities:

• Development and improvement of the parts of the platform product
• Collaboration with the Frontend and Machine Learning Team
• Providing 3rd line support
• Providing feedback to the product team on envisioned features
• Actively proposing some improvements
• Contributing to the project's documentation

Qualifications & expectations:

• You are an experienced and solid Ruby/Rails software developer (4yrs+)
• Experience with a relational database (with PostgreSQL or other)
• You know how to write unit- and integration tests (with RSpec)
• Experience with SaaS platforms
• Awareness of security-related concerns in software development
• Fast and accurate communication
• Fluency in English

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Sidekiq, JSON, Socker, K8s, GCP, packwerk, prometeus/OpenTelemetry 
• Experience with refactoring / cross-language evolution
• Fluency in German
